What started as a small initiative supporting the children of ABA Today staff has grown into a fully developed clinical service provider — one that carries the same values, warmth, and commitment to excellence that define ABA Today.
Today, while serving a broader community of families across Northern Virginia, Gateway4ABA operates as an affiliated partner of ABA Today. We share their Reston Center, their clinical culture, and their belief that every child deserves the chance to thrive — with services that extend into schools and the community as well.
"Families and staff deserve access to high-quality ABA services from people they trust."
To empower children and families through compassionate, evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis that is delivered with integrity, individualized care, and genuine partnership.
We strive to create environments where children can:
Whether a child is learning foundational communication skills, or developing social confidence, our mission remains the same: help every child dream, believe, and achieve.
Gateway4ABA delivers the same high-quality ABA services families expect from any ABA Today–affiliated program — in our center, at school, and in the community.
Sessions take place within ABA Today's 10,000 sq ft Reston Center, where consistency, collaboration, and an environment built for progress come together. Offering children:
We also bring therapy into the settings where skills need to hold up day to day:
Because families are at the center of progress, Gateway4ABA provides:
At ABA Today and Gateway4ABA, our center-based ABA therapy program is the cornerstone of what we do.
Located at our Reston Center, this program gives children a consistent, nurturing, and joy-filled space to learn, grow, and thrive. Here, every child receives individualized one-on-one therapy and group learning opportunities, guided by compassionate therapists who believe deeply in their potential.
Center-based ABA gives children:
The same routines, the same team, and the same environment create fewer barriers to learning.
BCBAs and clinicians collaborate instantly — adjusting plans, modeling strategies, supporting therapists, and responding quickly to a child's needs.
Fun, sensory, academic, and social experiences that simply can't be recreated in a home.
Children get to see other kids, build confidence, learn flexibility, and experience being part of a group.
While we continue to support some families in their homes when clinically appropriate, our center is now the primary environment for therapy because it gives our families the stability and structure that allows us to deliver the highest quality care.
We still collaborate with families to ensure skills transfer home — through parent coaching, home visits (when clinically indicated), and generalization programming. We remain committed to providing your child with exceptional services every step of the way.
Each child's plan is individualized, but a typical day often includes:
Every moment is a teaching moment, and every teaching moment is warm, respectful, and child-centered.
In our center, your child is surrounded by:
We're a family-founded, mission-driven practice where our therapists feel supported, valued, and able to give their best.
Center-based care is ideal for children who:
It's a great fit for families who want a reliable schedule and a dedicated place where their child feels safe, motivated, and engaged.

Gateway4ABA was created within a community of people who deeply understand what families experience when a child is diagnosed with autism — the questions, the hopes, the fears, and the desire for guidance you can trust. That spirit remains at the heart of Gateway4ABA today.
Under the guidance of seasoned BCBAs and our collaborative leadership structure, Gateway4ABA has flourished into a provider known for empathy, strong clinical standards, and personalized care.
Families who join our programs experience:

Gateway4ABA is home to a range of clinicians building their careers in ABA — including BTs and RBTs, BCBAs, and graduate students completing supervised fieldwork. Many staff build long-term careers here because they feel valued, encouraged, and trusted, which benefits children who thrive with familiar faces guiding their progress.
All clinical hiring for Gateway4ABA is coordinated through ABA Today. If you're a clinician interested in joining our team, current openings and career information are posted on the ABA Today website.

Your first step is as simple as reaching out. Complete our short online inquiry form, where we gather only the most essential information needed to understand how to best support you and your family.
After completing this form, you will be contacted by someone from Gateway4ABA within 24 hours.
Begin your inquiryOnce contacted by someone from Gateway4ABA, you'll gather some required documentation so that our intake team will be able to best assist you. You'll need:
Next, you'll meet with one of our clinicians (either in person at our Reston Center or virtually). This is a collaborative, family-driven conversation. In this meeting, we'll discuss your child's history, routines, challenges, and interests. We'll review any existing assessments and IEPs, and discuss Gateway4ABA's approach more in depth.
We tailor our recommendations to your child, not the other way around.
After intake, your child will complete comprehensive skill-based, functional, and educational assessments with one of our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). These may include:
Our goal is to understand your child's learning style, communication skills, behavioral needs, and strengths so that we can design a program that is meaningful, effective, and the best course forward for your child.
Your child's BCBA creates a personalized treatment plan based on assessment results. This plan includes:
We review everything with you before therapy begins.
Once your plan is approved, we create a therapy schedule that aligns best with your child's needs. In the first few sessions, your team will focus on building trust and connection. You'll receive regular updates, data summaries, and opportunities for parent coaching. Your BCBA will remain closely involved every step of the way.
Our primary service model is center-based therapy, as it allows for consistent routines, a structured therapeutic environment, and access to multiple therapists and specialized settings. Our center is designed to be a safe, joyful, and productive place where children can grow in every developmental area.
In-home therapy may be considered in limited cases based on clinical need, but most families benefit from the structure and engagement that center-based therapy provides.
Gateway4ABA works with families case-by-case to explore funding options.
We do not advertise broad in-network participation; instead, we guide families individually through:
We approach this with honesty, clarity, and respect for each family's circumstances.
Some common questions from new families.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a science-based approach that helps children build meaningful skills — such as communication, social interaction, and daily living — while reducing behaviors that may get in the way of learning. ABA therapy breaks skills into small, achievable steps, using positive reinforcement and individualized teaching based on each child's strengths and needs.
At ABA Today and Gateway4ABA, ABA therapy means compassionate, structured support delivered by highly trained clinicians who partner closely with families. Our goal is simple: to help every child learn, grow, and thrive.
We generally provide services from ages 2 through early teens, all depending on individual needs.
The intake process begins as soon as you complete your inquiry form, and is typically completed within 2–4 weeks, depending on assessment scheduling and insurance review.
The hours your child will receive vary depending on clinical assessments. In general, a program is usually 20–35 hours/week, but is sometimes more or less depending on the assessed needs.
Depending on current circumstances, we are able to provide support to your child in their current school-day setting. We are committed to working with your child in the environment that is most suitable to their needs.
Our primary, recommended model is center-based therapy. In-home options are only considered in special clinical circumstances, though we do our best to accommodate these situations where possible.
Availability for services can vary, but we aim to onboard our families efficiently and communicate timelines as clearly as possible. Families can usually expect to begin programs around 4–6 weeks after beginning the intake process.
